  • Original design, not reverse engineered
  • Pre-assembled with a mounting bracket for quicker and easier installation
  • Bosch steering pumps are manufactured to the latest specification following the OEM standard

  • Installation Information
    • Inspect or change Power Steering Pressure and Return Hoses when replacing the power steering pump. Damaged hoses, or hoses that are at least 5 years old, should always be replaced
    • Where applicable, replace the Power Steering Reservoir or clean the internal filter
    • Use a Pulley Tool to remove the power steering pump pulley
    • Completely flush the system with an OE approved Power Steering Fluid prior to installation
    • Install an in-line Power Steering Filter to prevent contamination
    • Bleed the system to prevent noise and extend the life of the steering components (this may require a vacuum pump and Power Steering Bleeder Kit)

    Power Steering Pump Diagnosis

Steering issues can be caused by a variety of different parts on the vehicle and mis-diagnosis is common. Typical symptoms of a bad Power Steering Pump include:

    • Leaking
    • Stiff steering while turning the wheel, especially at low speeds
    • Whining, groaning or squealing noises that increase when accelerating
    Installation Tips
    • Replace Power Steering Pressure and Return Hoses when replacing the power steering pump. Steering hoses can degrade internally and cause contamination in the power steering system, which can damage the new power steering pump
    • Where applicable, replace the Power Steering Reservoir or clean the internal filter
    • Completely flush the system with an OE approved Power Steering Fluid prior to installation (the correct type of fluid is noted on the reservoir cap or in your owner's manual). Flushing the system is critical to prevent system contamination and failure
    • Consider replacing the Belt (found in the Belt Drive category). Modern belts wear gradually and become less efficient, which can put strain on the Power Steering Pump and other belt driven components
    • Install the pump and all supplied o-ring seals according to installation instructions, to prevent leaking
    • Consider installing a Power Steering Filter on the Power Steering Return Hose to prevent system contamination and extend the life of the power steering components
    • A replacement Power Steering Pump can whine or make noise until air is purged from the fluid. Bleed the system during installation to prevent noise and extend the life of the steering components
